Introduction
Hello!
My name is Emily Morrow and I'm majoring in interior design at Ball State University! After completing the honors humanities sequence with Dr. Berg and Dr. Priebe I have noticed that in many of the stories we have covered, many of the characters' lives are constantly in motion and they always searching for the next step in their “life journey”. The experiences these characters have throughout their “life journey” often have a profound effect on their personalities and ways of life. Focusing specifically on Dante’s “Inferno”, Alexandre Dumas Fils La Dame aux Camélias, and Toni Morrison’s Beloved, I have chosen to create a photo essay of my own “life journey” and relate it to all three of these works. Throughout my graphic communications 2 course, which I am taking for my major, I have been learning how to use the software Photoshop, thus I felt this would be the perfect opportunity to combine my new computer skills with my newly found knowledge from Dr. Priebe’s Honors 202 course. Through this website, you can view the different works I chose to incorporate into my project, how I connected them together, and how I made a connection between my artifact and these works. Enjoy!
